ゴールデン・グローブ賞ですが、会員の投票によって選定され、毎年1月に発表されています。
アカデミー賞の前哨戦としての注目度も高いゴールデン・グローブ賞。
1944年から映画の賞として開催されており、1956年にテレビドラマが対象に加わりました。
しかし、2008年の授賞式においては脚本家によるストライキの影響で中止となったこともありました。

今年2022年は、現地時間1月9日に開催予定の第79回ゴールデン・グローブ賞の授賞式が行われる予定なのですが、2008年以来となるテレビでの放映がなしで開催されることがわかりました。
（ハリウッド外国人映画記者協会(以下HFPA)が明らかにしたもの。）
訳「本年度の授賞式は、プライベートなイベントとし、ライブ配信を行いません。
受賞者の発表は、ゴールデン・グローブ賞のサイトとSNSにてリアルタイムで行います」と明かしています。

そのうえ、SNSでも発表されているように今年開催される第79回ゴールデン・グローブ賞授賞式は、テレビ放送を行わないだけではなく同時配信も行なわれず、ウェブサイトとSNSで受賞者を公表することが発表されました。
華やかな俳優陣のレッドカーペットや素敵なお衣装なども楽しみだっただけに残念です。
その理由としては、昨年のはじめに、主宰しているハリウッド外国人映画記者協会（HFPA）に所属している約90名の会員のうち、アフリカ系が1人もいなかったことが明るみなってしまい、会員の多様性の欠如と評価基準の偏りが疑問視されていたそうです。

そのため、大手の映画やドラマスタジオや有名なスター俳優らが、問題が改め正されるまで参加の拒否を表明し、いつものようにテレビ放送を予定していたアメリカNBCは、今年の放送を取りやめることを発表しました。
それに対してHFPAは、昨年2021年10月に新たに21人の新会員を迎え、問題に対処していることをアピールしていたのですが、12月に行われたノミネーションの発表も静かに行われました。

とはいうものの、授賞式はテレビや配信では観られませんがファンが楽しみにしている受賞結果は発表されるので、ご紹介していきます。
実は、第79回ゴールデン・グローブ賞＜映画の部＞では、村上春樹による同名短編小説を原作にした濱口竜介監督の【ドライブ・マイ・カー】がノミネートされています。

まとめ
今回受賞した【ドライブ・マイ・カー】ですが、2021年7月に行われた第74回カンヌ国際映画祭で、日本映画では初めての脚本賞を受賞しています。
そして、その他にも国際映画批評家連盟賞、AFCAE賞、エキュメニカル審査員賞と4冠を受賞しており、2022年3月27日に授賞式が開催される予定の第94回アカデミー賞では、国際長編映画賞部門ショートリストにもノミネートされています。
毎年行われるこのゴールデン・グローブ賞ですが、アカデミー賞の前哨戦の1つと言われております。
今回「ハリウッド外国プレス協会（HFPA＝Hollywood Foreign Press Association）」が選んだご紹介した受賞作品の数々もアカデミー賞を受賞する確率がかなりあるということですね。
